Connection
There’s a ton of research out there trying to figure out what makes therapy work. While some treatment may be more effective than others, the overwhelming consensus is that therapy is most helpful when you feel understood and supported by your therapist. It’s important to allow yourself the time to get to know any therapist a bit before you meet with them. Schedule a consultation to see if we might be a good fit.
Flexibility
Flexibility is key in effective therapy. I hope to uniquely support you in your journey towards growth. It is important to tailor an approach to each individual’s needs. In our initial conversations, we’ll talk about what kind of support you may be looking for and what your goals might be. Collaborating is important and we will check in throughout the process to make sure we are adjusting the work to tailor it to your needs.
Hope
Hope is a big part of what makes therapy work. I wouldn't be in this game if I didn’t have the belief that we can all get better at life. Sometimes it’s hard to find but it’s what pulls us through. I will help you find this sense of hope and your motivation to change and work to help you maintain this over time.
